Fine Art Textile Printing

 Using the most advanced printers, inks, and fabric treatments available, iolabs can help further your artistic vision by offering custom printing on a limited selection of durable, and colorfast textiles. Fabrics are printed on roll media from manufactures that professionally coat the fabrics, allowing them to accept our UltraChrome inks. Prints will yield deep, rich colors and are perfect for fine art prints, giclée prints, banners, advertising prints and prototypes. We are happy to send textile samples. Textile printing requires a phone or email consultation before placing an order.

TEXTILE PRICING

Printing costs are calculated by the square foot, including the printed image plus any border or extra fabric needed for hemming. The first print of an image will cost $20, $24, or $26 per square foot, depending on your chosen material (see rates at right). We offer discounts starting at 20% for additional copies ordered and printed at the same time.  With advanced notice, we offer hemming for an additional fee. Your consultation with an iolabs Team Member will include a free, custom quote.

WASHABLE TEXTILES

• Cotton Poplin 4 oz. Flat, bright-white, tightly woven face. Smooth surface renders very sharp details. Extremely comfortable and versatile.

• Cotton Twill 7 oz. Medium-weight. Soft and pliable, yet sturdy and versatile. Wrinkle-resistant.

• Cotton Lawn 4 oz. Lightweight and semi-sheer. Even weave and even yarns for a smooth, un-textured finish.

• Silk Chiffon 10mm. Plain weave, very lightweight and translucent qualities. This fabric becomes fully saturated with ink so that the printed image is visible from the front and the back.

• Silk Crepe de Chine 14mm or 23mm. Lightweight, semi-translucent with a matte surface. Durable and wrinkle-resistant.

FINE ART FABRICS

• Belgian Linen 3.5 oz or 5.5 oz. 100% natural linen. Soft white color. A beautiful, unique alternative for art reproductions and wall hangings.

• Book Cloth White paper-backed poly-cotton blend.

• Cotton Lawn Lightweight 100% cotton, slight luster with soft feel.

• Cotton Poplin Sateen 93% cotton and 7% Lycra. Satin weave with a bias stretch. Very smooth, soft, and comfortable.

• Silk Habotai 12mm. 100% classic China silk. Prints beautifully.

• Silk Satin 12mm. 100% silk. Smooth and soft to the touch, with a sheen that is excellent for reproducing color.
